BREATHE – the core of human existence:
There is a long tradition of relating breath with spirit or soul. Given this tradition, it makes sense to use voice and wind instruments as an extension of this expression, closely related to the core of human existence. Together with the deep singing double bass and the old Indian sitar we celebrate UNESCO International Jazz Day – to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe.
This concert is the world premiere of the composition BREATHE by Viddal; mixed with improvisations, Indian ragas, West African traditional singing, Nordic corals, Rohinis Exchange – as well as Viddal’s prior compositions Peace and Magnificat.
